I was assigned to revamp the Voting History section of a candidate for thedownballot, a civic tech organization that aims to keep constituents connected from local elections.
As thedownballot increases its reach to educate local constituents, the need for transparent information becomes even more crucial. The original Voting History page consolidated candidate information in a manner that was not immediately identifiable.
Issues:

• Misleading color scheme. Some bills that did not pass are colored green. As a result, the coloring of green and red can be confusing to the user.
• Organization of information could be improved on: What do YES and NO mean?

Proposed Solution:

By utilizing a table organizational structure, the information can be easily conveyed in a manner that is intuitive and identifiable.

Left: Old Voting History.

Right: Revamped Voting History for clarity.
